Argentinian Cooking Class

We'll meet at 11 am at La Pachamama, which in Quechua means 'Mother Earth'. This central Buenos Aires venue is located on Calle Teniente Benjamín Matienzo in the Las Cañitas district, in the heart of the Palermo neighborhood.

There we'll start the gastronomic experience off with a bang by sharing a picada that includes traditional preserves and homemade breads, while we learn various curiosities about the history of Argentinian cuisine.

Next, we'll cook a four-step Argentinian menu. After preparing the dishes, we'll all sit at the table to taste these mouthwatering Argentinean specialties. Of course, we'll also taste a selection of wines.

We'll conclude this rich gastronomic experience at 3 pm.

Menu

The menu of the experience includes the following:

  • Picada with traditional preserves and homemade breads.
  • Chipá Snack: a yucca bread filled with cheese, an example of the mix of Guarani culture and Spanish influences in Argentina.
  • Starter: meat and chimichurri empanadas, one of Argentina's most typical dishes.
  • Main course: humita en olla (a sweet corn stew) with braised beef, made with typical corn from the Andean region.
  • Dessert: flambéed dulce de leche crepes.
  • Drinks: Argentine wines from different regions, water and homemade lemonade.

A vegetarian option is also available.
