Want to know the origin of the Argentinian capital? This free walking tour of Buenos Aires is the best way to get to visit the city's historical center & learn many curiosities about its past.

Free Walking Tour of Buenos Aires

At the indicated time, we'll meet up at Hipólito Yrigoyen 1760, in front of the Plaza del Congreso, in the heart of the port city. From here, we'll begin our two-hour free walking tour of Buenos Aires and start learning all about the history of the Argentinian capital.

Our tour begins in the city's most iconic landmarks, beginning with the National Congress building, in one of the most beautiful squares in the capital. From here, our free tour takes us around places such as Palacio Barolo, or the Mural of Evita Perón, where we'll discover the fascinating history of one of the most famous Argentinian women to have ever lived.

Next, we'll continue in one of the most emblematic places in the Argentinian capital, such as the Obelisk, Café Tortoni and the beautiful La Prensa building. Then we'll lead you to Plaza de Mayo, one of the most famous parts of the South American metropolis, and where the Argentinian Republic was first declared. And just in front, you can find the famous Casa Rosada, the home of Argentina's government, and on whose balcony we can imagine Evita Perón singing "No llores por mi Argentina."

Here you'll hear the story of how every Thursday the so-called "Mothers of May" meet to demand the return of the children lost during the military dictatorship during the 1970s, one of the most challenging moments in the country's history.

The free walking tour of Buenos Aires then comes to an end in front of the Casa Rosada.
