Tango show and Dinner at El Querandi
Considered “Living testimony to civic memory” by the Museum of the City and "Place of tourist interest" by the National Tourist Secretary, the El Querandi restaurant is one of the most intimate venues in Buenos Aires in which to experience the romanticism of the Tango.
You have the option of reserving just the show or with dinner included.
El Querandi
The El Querandi restaurant initially opened in 1920 as a bar and underwent restoration in 1992. It is located in an old mansion which was constructed in 1867 with a 190 person capacity and private tables: a detail which only helps to make this cosy setting feel even more romantic.
Show
The show “Nuestro Tango” tells the story of Tango, its key performers and events from 1860 to the present day, and its tradition in Buenos Aires. Four dancing couples, two singers and an acoustic quartet – piano, bandoneon, violin, and double bass – make it an unforgettable evening. The show lasts for approximately seventy-five minutes and is divided into five parts. Also, this option includes an open bar.
Dinner with or without a wine pairing
How can you improve a Tango show which is already unbeatable? Easy, add a delicious dinner!
The menu consists of different cold and hot appetizers and a choice of twenty main dishes including white and red meats, pork, fish and pasta. The dinner will be accompanied by wine from the ‘Finca Flichman’ vineyard, soft drinks, mineral water, coffee or tea.
A wine-pairing dinner option will also be available, which will include a menu made exclusively to pair with a regional wine that will be chosen with the help of a sommelier. This dinner lasts one hour.
Dinner
We'll enjoy a tasting of three different wines as we enjoy images of Argentina's wine industry. The wine will be accompanied by regional appetizers.
The wine tasting lasts one hour and will start at 5 pm or 7 pm depending on the option booked.
Schedule
- Show: pickup between 8:45 pm and 9:15 pm at hotels in Palermo; between 9 pm and 9:30 pm at hotels in central Buenos Aires.
- Wine tasting: at 7 pm.
- Dinner with wine pairing and show: pickup between 7:30 pm and 8 pm at hotels in Palermo; between 8 pm and 8:30 pm at hotels in central Buenos Aires.
Wine tasting and dinners are only available from Wednesday to Friday.
Pickup
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included with the following options: 'Show' and 'Show + Dinner with wine pairing.' The other options only include hotel drop-off. We'll return from El Querandi to your hotel at 11:30 pm at the end of the show.
