Buenos Aires Tango & Football Tour
Discover the history and importance of tango in Buenos Aires with a tour around the Abasto neighbourhood. Plus, you'll explore the La Boca neighbourhood; a must for football fans!
Buenos Aires Tango & Football Tour
After picking you up from your hotel in Buenos Aires at 9 am, you'll climb onboard our air-conditioned minibus and we'll head to the Abasto neighbourhood; the epicentre of tango.
As soon as we arrive, we'll visit the Carlos Gardel Museum. This museum used to be the residence of renowned tango singer, Carlos Gardel. Not only does the museum pay tribute to the singer, but as you explore the different exhibitions, you'll learn about the relationship between Gardel, Buenos Aires and tango.
We'll continue discovering the history of tango as we explore the Abasto neighbourhood. You'll see the famous Esquinas, which are houses where you can see an authentic show and they are also one of the places that artists turn to when composing. We'll also take you past different traditional bars that have been essential in developing the culture of tango.
Next, we'll head south to the La Boca neighbourhood, one of the city's oldest and most well-known areas. The bright colours of the houses will definitely catch your eye, but do you know why they are painted like this? You'll find out as we explore!
We'll walk along Caminito, the most famous street in La Boca and the perfect spot to learn about this area's history and its most deep-rooted traditions. This neighbourhood is also home to the world-famous Boca Juniors' stadium, La Bombonera. Our guide will tell you all about the city's, and in fact country's, passion for football. This is a sport that moves the masses and players are treated like gods- you'll find out more on the day!
Finally, we'll end our tour at 1 pm at Galerías Pacífico, in the centre of Buenos Aires.
